As your Police and Crime Commissioner, I am committed to ensuring communities are safe and feel safe. As part of this commitment I have previously invested in the We Don’t Buy Crime and Smartwater initiatives. Smartwater is a water based chemical that, when applied, gives items a unique, traceable identity. The presence of both Smartwater and We Don’t Buy Crime signs act as a deterrent, making homes and businesses less of a target for thieves. These initiatives continue to be effective in tackling burglary and I would encourage you to make use of my Smartwater offer, of contributing 25% towards the cost in your community.
